In Which Flood Zone Is That House? See How Easy It Is To Find Out.

For purposes of estimating insurance premiums, it is more important than ever to know in advance the flood zone for any home that you area considering to purchase. You can follow the easy steps below for Collier County and for Lee County to confirm the zone. FLOOD ZONE MAP for COLLIER COUNTY

1.)  Click on the link above

2.)  Use the box on right for address search

  1. Enter street address
  2. Select City
  3. Click on “Locate”

3.)  The map will appear with a red dot at your address of choice with the surrounding area shaded according to the flood zone (click on the legend at the lower right)

***Yellow is “X” and purple is “X500” (the most desirable zones)

FLOOD ZONE MAP for LEE COUNTY

1.) Go to   http://leegis.leegov.com/leespins/

2.) Look for the blue box in the lower left that says, “Parcel Search”

3.) Search parcels by STRAP#, Street Address or Owner Name – choose one

4.) Type the information in the box below “Example – ” and click “Search”

5.) When the results appear, click on the square next to the desired property

6.) Look to the blue box which has now appeared in the middle of your computer screen and click on the link for “Flood Info”

7.) You will see the following: “Click Flood Info below to View Your Parcel’s Flood Information”. Now click on that rectangle below that says, “Flood Info”

The page will say “Spatial District Query Report”. Be patient while all of information is retrieved and loaded. Then you will be able to expand it to a full page by clicking on the box in the upper right corner, print it, send it via email or save it to your computer.
