Naples, Florida – Did You Know?

The holiday season is here in Naples and here are some things that you should know!

Did you know that we have already had our first snowfall? The mayor launched the holiday season by lighting the tree on Monday, November 20th and it “snowed’ on Third Street South right on schedule. Check out the website ThirdStreetSouth.com for the snow forecast this week (there is more “snow” in the forecast), the Farmer’s Market schedule for Saturdays, musical performances on Thursday nights and other events in December.

Did you know that the Naples Botanical Garden gets in the spirit with “Night Lights in the Garden”? Check out the event schedule in December and early January for a magical evening. This is the silver lining to getting dark early. Go to www.Naplesgarden.org for the schedule and to buy tickets.

Did you know that the best neighborhood for touring holiday decorated homes is Victoria Park? Believe it or not, one of the reasons that some people choose to live in Victoria Park is the neighborhood enthusiasm for Christmas light displays on the homes.

Take the kids to cruise the streets and “Oooh” and “Aaah” with each over-the-top display. The community is located off of Airport-Pulling Road between Vanderbilt Beach Road and Immokalee Road. Look for Nottingham Drive on the west side of Airport-Pulling Road.

Check out this YouTube video of Victoria Park light displays done by a Naples visitor complete with music. Click on the photo below:
