We live and work in the Conners neighborhood of Naples, Florida. If you want to enjoy the Florida lifestyle in a waterfront community near everything you could want, then you need to consider Conners for your home in Naples.
Conners at Vanderbilt Beach is a neighborhood of 500 single family homes on canals with boating access to the Gulf of Mexico via Wiggins Pass. No boat? No problem. Just being on the water is enough for a lot of people who appreciate the water view, find the dolphins entertaining, like fishing, enjoy the birds that hang around water and the calm that water brings to your life. If you are a boater, then you have quick access to the Gulf as well as back bay waters all of the way up to Matanxas Pass at Fort Myers Beach. The bays offer great fishing and there are a number of restaurants along the route for leisurely socializing.
You can’t beat the location for everything you expect in Naples, Florida. Walk to Vanderbilt Beach or Delnor-Wiggins Beach State Park. Restaurants are close by with the Turtle Club on the beach and Buzz’s Lighthouse on the bay side. Hotels include the beachfront Ritz Carlton and La Playa as well as the nearby Inn at Pelican Bay. Nightlife, more restaurants, bars, shopping and theaters are minutes away at Mercato. Conveniences and daily needs are right around the corner – Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Publix, shops, pharmacies, library, tennis courts, bike paths, cultural venues and much more. No need to go down to Fifth Avenue South or Third Street South for entertainment or restaurants but, it’s a short drive if you want.
Homes range from $800,000 to $4M and are priced according to age, condition, upgrades, location and views. If you drive the “finger” streets – each street is a cul-de-sac with canals between – you will see the variety of properties and the transition happening in the neighborhood. There is demand for both new construction and the older one level homes. The newer multi-level houses offer lots of square footage, all of the bells and whistles you would expect in home at that price point and “new” has it’s own appeal. But there is something to be said for one level living in Florida and you can only get that feature in Conners in an older home. Typically, the square footage in the one level homes will be 2,000 square feet (plus or minus). Some of the current listings for this style house need renovations and some have been brought up to today’s standards. Aside from everyone enjoying a waterfront lifestyle in a great Naples location, all of the homes enjoy the benefit of no HOA dues. So, no rules and regulations dictated by an association, completely pet friendly and free to rent whenever you are not occupying if you are so inclined.
