What do doctors, condominiums and sailboats have in common?  The answer is a dozen condominium developments on Moorings Bay that have sailboat access to the Gulf of Mexico through Doctors Pass.  The water depth ranges from 6’ to 10’ and there are no bridges to restrict mast height to the Gulf.  The condos are Beacon House and Indies West on the south side of Doctors Pass and on the north side of the pass you have Admirality Point, Yacht Harbor Manor (a co-operative), Spindrift, Windemere, Miramar, Gulf Bay Club, Jennifer Shores, Windsor Court, Commodore Club, Moorings Bay Club and Harbour Lights.  Of those, by the way, the ones that are pet friendly with approval are Gulf Bay Club and Jennifer Shores.  Aside from a public beach access point across the street on Gulfshore Boulevard, The Moorings neighborhood has a private beach park for residents and it’s very close to Lowdermilk Park.
