It was September 17, 1957 and Milton Link had just closed on a portion of the 1300 acre Crayton Tract which would become part of The Moorings. Link had graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in landscape architecture and it was a connection through his employment as a landscape architect that led to the opportunity in Naples. It was his love of the land and his understanding of tropical foliage that made The Moorings one of the finest and most beautiful developments in Florida. That was the foundation for what is an exclusive and desirable location to this day.
