Mission Drive runs around the perimeter with cul-de-sacs offering different views from the private backyards. Of the single family homes, you will not find two that are the same. The architecture varies from classic to contemporary to Spanish to modern West Indies to coastal style. No “cookie-cutter” homes here with every home looking the same and most of them empty during the summer months. This is an active, friendly, family neighborhood with people who appreciate the lifestyle, amenities and organized activities. Swimming is popular here and the community supports its own swim team.
The development started in 1990 and was built in four distinctive sections with a total of 400+ homes. Generous lot sizes and mature landscaping give the community an established and comfortable feel. Many of the homesites have lake views.
What Is Going On Near Monterey? 
Within easy striking distance of the beach, Monterey benefits from being close to daily necessities and conveniences, grocery stores, shops, boutiques, restaurants, a Collier County library, movie theaters as well as so many family friendly activities. Whatever else you need – it’s right around the corner – fitness clubs, ballet studio, karate lessons, top level competitive swimming club (T2 Aquatics) and any other interest you might have. Pelican Marsh Elementary School is one of the most sought after schools in Collier County with Pine Ridge Middle School and Baron Collier High School completing a preferred A-rated group. Also, the location is central to several private schools of note including Community School of Naples, The Village School of Naples, Seacrest Country Day School and Royal Palm Academy.
