TOP 3 REASONS FOR JOINING A COUNTRY CLUB… and finding your dream home within the Community.
Every buyer has their bucket list of needs vs. wants when it comes to finding their dream home. It may include things like a lake view, granite countertops, large closets or a minimum square footage. So I, as your Realtor, go on the hunt for your dream home ensuring I meet your needs, as well as your wants. But when it comes to purchasing a home in a golf course community, I have two on my bucket list: I need to meet your needs in finding your dream home, but I also need to select the country club that meets your “top reasons for joining a private club.”
First: For many buyers they have 3-4 main reasons for joining a club. First on their bucket list is that I always hear that the course must be a high quality golf course. Naples provides a large number of golf course developments, but only so many can have premier architects tied to their development. Designers such as Joe Lee designing Audubon Country Club, and Arthur Hills designing Colliers Reserve, Kensington Country Club, and Mediterra have all “carved” a place in our beautiful city.
Second: “less crowded.” Avid golfers look for golf course communities that have a low density of golf members to ensure they can get on the course whenever they would like. Some golf course communities may advertise they have a high number of members so it seems that buyers are selecting their community. However, for the avid golfer they are looking for the complete opposite. More members mean less tee times. “Less crowded” also refers to the actual community and home density as well. Buyers love views. They are not particularly interested in homes or condominiums stacked one after another. There are two golf course communities that really stand out when it comes to their density of golfers and homes.
First, Audubon Country Club. They offer the lowest density of homes in all of Collier County with just 375 doors on 755 acres, leaving about 70% of their land untouched. They also have a beautiful golf course with just 290 golf members and a cap of 350 on their 18-hole championship golf course.
The second, Colliers Reserve. They again have a very low density of homes offering 224 single-family homes on a smaller acreage than Audubon, compromising of just 450 acres. They also only allow 300 golf members on their 18-hole championship golf course.
Third: Location and Convenience. We have all heard it over and over again when it comes to buying a home, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Well, it is absolutely no different when selecting a private country club as well. Buyers want the best bang for their buck, and the one thing you can’t change is a homes location. Therefore, you will always find buyers gravitating towards country clubs that are close to the beach and are conveniently located near US 41, which is the main road in Naples. There is only one private country club that offers such a location: Audubon Country Club.
The one thing that no other club can compete with is Audubon’s amazing location. Audubon is positioned West of US41 backed up to the Gulf of Mexico and minutes from shopping and entertainment. It is surrounded by not just one, but four of Southwest Florida’s premier beaches. The white sandy beaches are found just 1-4 miles away from their gates and include Vanderbilt Beach, Wiggins Pass State Park, Barefoot Beach, and Bonita Beach. They also offer water activities for members that are avid beach-goers. They refer to their community as the “The Florida lifestyle made easy.” As everything from golf, natural beauty, restaurants, and white sandy beaches is at your fingertips with this one-of-a-kind club.
